I admit. This post isn’t about heavy noise, unless you have several hundreds of old fluorescent lamps installed in your office or recreation centre – which does happen. Changing four TL tubes in the basement of your house, will not create a silent place. But hey, when you disrespect the small efforts … So I changed four tubes (the ones I bought this morning). Now I have immediate light when I descend the stairs to the fridge. And honestly, I do not miss the bzz-cling-cling-cling-zzzzzzzz sound of the fluorescent lamps to switch on and keep producing a humming background sound (listen here). The sound can get annoying, definitely when the ignitor is broken (listen here). That’s history in my place. And they say, LED is also a great energy saver, so that’s a win-for-life.
