A lot of volunteers have inspected the slow roads that were mapped by the regional agency Regionaal Landschap Vlaamse Ardennen (RLVA), which is an initiative of the Eastern Flanders provincial government. Using these inspection reports, towns can now organize their maintenance plans for the future. That is what the article in today’s edition of the Landschapskrant is about.
Slow roads are roads that are not being used by motorized traffic. They allow people to take a walk and relax in a more silent environment. The province of Eastern Flanders has paid a lot of attention to this project over the past years.
